About the Course
Overview
The IYT® International Yoga Teacher Program is designed to equip aspiring yoga instructors with foundational knowledge, skills, and practical expertise in yoga teaching set by IYO® International Yoga Organisation. To ensure participants meet the rigorous standards set to the IYS®-International Yoga School by IYO® International Yoga Organisation, a comprehensive examination framework has been established. This framework evaluates candidates across theoretical, oral, and practical dimensions, fostering well-rounded yoga educators capable of delivering safe, effective, and inspiring classes.
The assessment comprises three main components:
Written Examination: Focuses on theoretical knowledge.
Viva Examination: Assesses oral communication and critical thinking.
Practical Examination: Evaluates hands-on teaching proficiency.
Each component is valued at 100 marks, resulting in a total of 300 marks. A passing score of 70% (210 out of 300) is required for certification, with distinctions awarded for scores above 80% (240) and high honors for those exceeding 90% (270). The examinations are administered by certified IYO® evaluators to maintain consistency, impartiality, and alignment with international yoga education standards. Examination Structure and Components
