Impact of yoga on society
A. Promotion of mindfulness and self-awareness
1. Increased empathy and compassion
2. Better communication and relationships
3. Reduced aggression and violence
B. Spirituality benefits
In yoga, the heart is often considered the center of the individual, both physically and spiritually. It is associated with love, compassion, and the fourth chakra, Anahata, which is believed to be the seat of balance within the body. In many yoga practices, the heart is the focus of asanas (postures) and pranayama (breath control) that aim to open the chest area, improve circulation, and promote emotional release and healing. The heart is also central to the concept of Bhakti Yoga, the path of devotion, where the practitioner's ultimate goal is to open their heart to divine love. Cultivating a strong, open heart in yoga can lead to greater emotional well-being, a sense of connectedness, and inner peace
