The History of Yoga School:

Dr. Vijaya Khare and Mr. Oniel Khare are the visionary Founder and Co-founder of 'Yogatantra,' a comprehensive and transformative technique of yoga that aims to enhance the physical, mental, and spiritual well-being of individuals. This esteemed institution was established in 2003, laying the groundwork for a holistic approach to yoga that integrates traditional practices with modern methodologies. In June 2015, Yogatantra was officially registered under the Mumbai Public Trust Act of 1950 as a recognized "Trust," which has enabled it to operate with greater legitimacy and reach a wider audience. Since its inception, Yogatantra has been dedicated to training a diverse range of individuals, and an increasing number of people are drawn to learn and practice yoga through its offerings.

Yogatantra is not just a yoga training center; it is a vibrant community that conducts a variety of enriching events each year aimed at the advanced development of its sadhaks (practitioners). These events include the Yoga Day Celebration, which promotes the global significance of yoga, Guru Purnima Havan, a ceremonial tribute to teachers, and the Surya Namaskar Challenge on Foundation Day, which encourages participants to engage in this foundational practice. Additionally, the institution organizes Yoga Retreats that provide immersive experiences for deeper learning and rejuvenation. The enthusiastic participation of many sadhaks in these events reflects the strong sense of community and commitment to personal growth fostered by Yogatantra.

In its quest to provide structured learning, Yogatantra offers various certificate courses designed to cater to different levels of experience and expertise. These courses include a Basic Course for beginners, an Advanced Course for those looking to deepen their practice, and comprehensive Teachers Training Programs that span 200 hours and beyond. These programs are meticulously designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to teach yoga effectively, ensuring that the tradition of yoga is passed on to future generations with integrity and depth.

During the unprecedented challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Yogatantra demonstrated remarkable adaptability by shifting to online teaching modalities. This transition allowed the institution to continue delivering high-quality education and support to its sadhaks, facilitating the continuation of online batches that reach individuals far and wide. The online format has not only made yoga more accessible but has also expanded the community of practitioners who can benefit from Yogatantra's teachings regardless of geographical constraints.

All sadhaks participating in Yogatantra's courses gain invaluable practical experiences that are integral to their yoga journey. Each asana (posture) and kriya (action) is personally guided by our experienced teachers, ensuring that every individual receives tailored instruction that meets their unique needs. The core teaching team at Yogatantra comprises seasoned professionals with extensive backgrounds in yoga instruction, allowing them to impart their wisdom and insights effectively. With a strong foundation in the field of yoga and a commitment to continuous improvement, Yogatantra is now actively seeking membership with the International Yoga Organisation (IYO). This step is aimed at further enhancing its credibility and expanding its global reach, ultimately contributing to the broader mission of promoting yoga as a pathway to health, harmony, and holistic living.
