The History of the Yoga School:

Our Story: The History & Vision of YuvaSetu

YuvaSetu is not just a school — it is a soul-led movement born from the heart of a humble village and the legacy of a family that chose simplicity, service, and purpose over privilege.

The story begins with Ramesh Mane, a determined young man who, despite coming from a financially struggling family, chose to serve the nation by joining the Border Security Force (BSF) at the age of 19. He stood on the frontlines during the Kargil War, guarding the borders with fearless dedication. After 24 years of service, he returned to his roots — not to rest, but to farm, to serve the land, and live a life of dignity and humility.

By his side stood Sheela Mane, a quiet warrior in her own right — a traditional weaver, homemaker, and the emotional pillar of the family. Her simplicity, patience, and strength built the values that would become the foundation of YuvaSetu.

From this home of service and resilience emerged Nikhil Mane, their son — a boy who completed his 12th standard amidst financial hardship and then took a different route. He turned to yoga and digital marketing — not to seek a job, but to seek a calling. He understood that many young people in villages like his were lost between outdated textbooks and rising unemployment, unsure of how to stand on their own feet.

That realization became his mission — to build a platform that could bridge the gap between traditional wisdom and modern skillsets, between rural dreams and real opportunities.

Thus, YuvaSetu was born — a bridge not made of concrete, but of values, vision, and vocational empowerment.

Our Vision: Deeply Rooted, Boldly Rising

At YuvaSetu, our vision is to:

Awaken the hidden potential in every rural youth — not by forcing a standard path, but by guiding them to discover their own.

Reimagine education as a life-building journey — blending yoga, digital skills, entrepreneurship, and character development.

Build a generation of self-reliant changemakers — who can earn with dignity, live with simplicity, and lead with purpose.

Honor tradition while embracing transformation — ensuring that cultural roots are not forgotten but evolved into strengths.

Create a ripple of upliftment — where one trained youth uplifts a family, a family strengthens a village, and a village transforms the nation.

YuvaSetu is the bridge between what is and what can be — between forgotten potential and a future full of light.

Meet the Founders of YuvaSetu

A Family of Purpose. A Legacy of Simplicity, Service, and Strength.

YuvaSetu is not just an institution — it is a heartfelt mission born from the soil of a humble village and nurtured by the spirit of a family deeply committed to nation-building, resilience, and social transformation.

Founded by Nikhil Mane, and inspired and supported by his parents Ramesh and Sheela Mane, YuvaSetu carries the DNA of three generations — of warriors, weavers, and wisdom-seekers — each contributing their strength to uplift others.

Nikhil Mane – Founder, Mentor & Visionary Youth Guide

Nikhil Mane is a young changemaker whose vision gave birth to YuvaSetu. Growing up in a financially challenged household in a small village, Nikhil faced early life struggles that shaped his character and sense of purpose. Despite the odds, he completed his 12th standard and made a bold decision — to explore paths not defined by degrees, but by value, vision, and vocational skills.

While many sought secure jobs, Nikhil chose to learn yoga and digital marketing — not just as tools to earn, but as means to awaken inner clarity and outer independence. He saw how youth around him, especially in rural areas, were trapped in cycles of textbook learning and joblessness. This realization became his fuel.

Nikhil founded YuvaSetu with the mission to create a bridge between untapped rural potential and real-world empowerment. He believes that every young person, regardless of background, deserves access to life skills, mentorship, and opportunities to become self-reliant solopreneurs and value-driven leaders.

His work is grounded in deep respect for Indian values, his family’s legacy of service, and a burning desire to redefine education as a journey toward purpose and contribution. As a mentor, he leads with empathy, grit, and quiet confidence — making him a relatable guide for youth across villages and small towns.

Ramesh Mane – Co-Founder, Veteran, Farmer & Role Model

Ramesh Mane is the living embodiment of service, courage, and humility. Born into poverty, he rose to serve the country by joining the Border Security Force (BSF) at the age of 19. His dedication took him to the frontlines of national defense, and he stood brave in Operation Vijay during the Kargil War — one of India’s most critical moments of military valor.

He served the nation with unwavering commitment for 24 years, earning respect, discipline, and a sense of duty that would inspire generations after him. After retirement, instead of choosing comfort, he returned to his village and took up farming — believing that feeding the nation was just as noble as guarding it.

Ramesh’s journey from a struggling youth to a soldier and then to a humble farmer mirrors the ethos of YuvaSetu — service in every form, pride in simplicity, and action over words. His presence in the organization brings grounded wisdom, ethical strength, and a deep connection to rural life and its values.

He is not just a father to the founder — he is a father figure to the many youth who walk through the doors of YuvaSetu, seeking discipline, direction, and dignity.

Sheela Mane – Co-Founder, Weaver of Values & Silent Strength

Sheela Mane is the quiet yet profound influence that binds the spirit of YuvaSetu. A traditional weaver by profession and homemaker by calling, she represents the power of the unseen, unspoken, and unwavering. While her name may not appear in headlines, her contribution is stitched into the very soul of the organization.

Through decades of daily labor, nurturing love, and silent sacrifices, Sheela created a stable home and instilled timeless values in her children — especially in Nikhil. Her simplicity, patience, and inner strength served as the emotional compass of the family, even as her husband guarded the borders and her son built his vision.

She embodies the mantra of “creating with care” — and in many ways, her life reflects the quiet craftsmanship that YuvaSetu brings into the lives of its students. Her journey is a tribute to millions of village women who build the nation from within homes and hearts.

At YuvaSetu, Sheela represents the nurturing, grounding, and value-based feminine energy — making sure that while the youth learn to fly, they also learn to stay rooted.

Together, They Are the Soul of YuvaSetu

From the soldier’s courage to the mother’s care to the son’s vision — YuvaSetu is a family legacy turned into a movement.

This trio represents the past, present, and future of rural India — resilient, resourceful, and ready to rise.

At its core, YuvaSetu is powered by people who’ve lived the very struggle they now help others overcome. That is what makes the school not just unique — but deeply human, powerfully authentic, and spiritually aligned.
